The scene opens with Laguna, not in uniform, apparently back in his hometown. As he rises from his bed, a little girl runs to talk to him...
The action has switched its attention once more to Laguna, lying on a bed as Squall
did at the beginning of Disc 1. A little girl called Ellone comes to talk to him.
There is a Save Point and hidden in the cupboard to the north is a Draw Point.
When you have gained some magic and saved your game, head downstairs.
Go outside into the main square of WinHill village and then to the Pub which is located to the left of the house you were just in. Talk to the girl dressed in yellow (Raine) and she will tell you something about Julia. Laguna's old friend Kiros will then enter the pub, but there is still no sign of Ward... Talk to Kiros to learn more about what is going on, finally picking the fourth option so Kiros rejoins your party.
NOTE: You will encounter similar monsters to the ones found outside Balamb Garden. Laguna and Kiros will be wearing their casual clothes, not the Galbadian Garden uniform. As your level increases, you can draw new spells from them!
Head out and walk across the village square of WinHill.
You will find a Draw Point if you go down the stairs near to the river.
Now head back and cross the wooden bridge.
After a little chatter, continue heading south to exit the area, walking down the lane. You will find a florist on the left and there is a Draw Point near the yellow board. Next, head right and you will find a truck next to the hill slope. Press Circle near to it and you will uncover another Draw Point. Draw some magic from it and head down the slope and to your left.
You will be at the lower end of the town; the house on the top-left is a simple cottage, so take the right and there is a hotel and the Flower Restaurant. The shop to the southwest is an Item Shop, so stock up on your inventory if you are short. When a little sequence has finished, head back to the upper part to the north (note that you can't take the winding road). Now head up and you will be on a road with the sign post that says "CAUTION" and you will have another sequence.
Keep on walking up and you will be back at the road where you find the florist's shop,
you will then have another sequence. Laguna will head back to the upper
part of the town so head for the pub. When you arrive there, go up the stairs to the second
floor and you will have another sequence...

a Major of the Galbadia Army, Major Caraway, comforts her. When Julia realises
that Laguna will never come back, she decides to marry Caraway

Once you regain control of Laguna, talk to Raine and she will ask you to go to a house. Talk to Ellone and then head back to the house where you found the Save Point at the beginning of Disc 2, and save your game. Now head up to the bed and try to get some rest. Laguna will then talk to Kiros for a bit and slowly drifts off to sleep. The screen fades...
